Seo-jin Choi

"Into the Depths, Deeper and Deeper. Towards the Innocence of Profound Places. Until Touching the Eaternal Essence."

Seo-jin Choi is drawn to primordial forces, seeking them through acts of "swallowing." A type of fabric made by fermenting a yeast called scoby evokes a sensation akin to human flesh. Like a mangled and scarred skin, it adheres together to form a colossal and robust structure. Within it lies the cosmos. Within the cosmos are clocks, homes, and beds. Like the Egyptian goddess Nut who gives birth to the sun she swallowed last night, like a fish that swallowed Jonah.
