Yoo Seung-ho

"The artist Yoo Seung-ho, who has been working on transforming and deconstructing the inherent meanings of language, presents a series of works that, although appear as a single large image, are actually composed of small letters. This series has become his trademark. In his canvases, the letters merely form part of the shape, while their original meanings are discarded.
His works mix elements like "Noe-chul-hyeol(brain hemorrhage)" and "natural" with "Aigo(interjection)" and "I go," creating humor that introduces a moist crack between letters and meanings, content and images. In the gap, fixed concepts lose their power, and new possibilities for perception emerge."
